Dublin has been great! The people are so nice and it is so fun to be back in Europe again. Having a difficult time adjusting to the +8 hour change, I had a bit of a late start. My hotel is right across the bridge from Temple Bar so I walked across and grabbed a latte to wake up.
After my coffee I went to Tesco, a local grocery store, and got some water and snacks for the day.
I hit up Trinity College and saw the Book of Kells and The Long Room. They had a medical history on display which was really interesting. I particularly enjoyed reading the cure for mumps: "Wrap child up and take them to a pig. Rub the child's head on the bottom of the pig. The mumps will then transfer from the child to the animal." Wow! Who knew?!?!?
Then I walked up Grafton Street, walked around Merrion Square, went to the National Gallery, walked through St. Stephen's Green and over to St. Patrick's Cathedral.
It has been a fairly nice day with hardly any rain. Many people were out and about walking through the squares during their lunch, enjoying the sun.
Tomorrow the driving begins and I am off to Galway...watch out sheep!!!

I loved Dublin! Glad you saw so much! You covered a lot in one day! Did you see the Dublin doors? Especially pretty near St. Stephen's Green, which I now see that you did go to--failed to read your post carefully the first time!
